DMS2 assignment 1 is a class assignment.
Everybody will be marked according to the contribution for the assignment.
Lets work together ok.

On Monday (week 5, 17 November 2009), please stay back after our typo class.
*for those who have no typo class. please come to M321 by 1pm*

We will discuss about the assignment in class together.
So I am suggesting for everyone to read the brief and come out with at least an idea.
All of us will present our idea to the class.
Someone will type down the ideas. And we will make something out with all the ideas we have.

Last Thursday during DMS2 lecture, Andrew said that everything we do must have footage of it.
So I am suggesting for you all to bring your camera and take pictures when we are presenting our ideas in class.
Those taking the pictures please send me the picture asap. I will keep it.

Hello every birdie.

A few things for you to take note for tomorrow's final critics.

1. If you're from Group 1 and 2, please kindly meet us at Koufu, 8am.

2. With your 90 by 28cm panel, mounted (of course).

3. Your visual journal, thumbnails, research, studies or whatever you call that.

4. *Bring a 10 by 6cm white label for your panel.

For those who love to ask why, just in case you miss out this line.

(You should also attach a white label for your panel, measuring 10cm x 6cm. Include your name, admin number, PEM group, and panel number. Attach the label in the bottom right corner of your panel.)

I got no idea what is PEM group or whatsoever, so just bring the white label.

We shall see what are we suppose to do with it tomorrow!

Thanks ah, those who don't know how to cut, I think you can just kill yourself.

Instructions:

Just take a white paper, measure 10 by 6cm. Use a pencil to mark out the measurements and after drawing the box, take a scissors, and cut it out. If you don't know, I'm sorry, you don't have to cut it out, just stab yourself with the scissors.

PS: I've had enough of stupid questions.

(Don't worry, I don't bite/kill.)

Hello people from Ixd,

We are moving into our final week of Studio Project 1. Next Monday, 31 August 2009, everyone will have to reach school at 9am sharp.
You must bring in a completed thumbnail of what your final panel is going to be.

You will all be putting up your thumbnail panels side-by-side in the order that you have agreed on. We will review the continuity of the exquisite corpses, in terms of visual, conceptual or a combination of both qualities.

The template for the thumbnail paper is being passed around. Class I/Cs, please help to distribute the thumbnails to your friends. If you do not have it, the measurements should be 1/3rd of the full size of the panel. (around 9.33 x 29.1cm) on a A4 size paper.

Each corpse group must present what their entire corpse is about, and will be given 10 minutes to talk about their entire collection of panels, before we go into each individual panel for critique this Friday.

And on Monday, 7 Sept, all students must also bring back their panels to put together their exquisite corpses for Open Studios day.
Students must set up their panels on Monday 7 Sept by 2pm, or they will not be graded for their Studio Project.
Good luck, and let's finish this Studio Project with a good ending.

At least 5 thumbnails of what you intend to do for your final panel. (drawn to proportion)
Illustration tests and exploration of scenes, what-ifs, how-about ideas in your visual journal/your sketchbook
Colour tests of your scenes and objects and the reasons behind it

Well, the review will be at 9.30am. (Don't be late.)
When you come in at 9am, proceed to take your attendance on the machine, and write your name on the whiteboard.
Tutors/lecturers will be looking at your work based on that order.
